Aloha Meatballs

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup saltine crackers, crushed
- 1 tablespoon onion, minced
- 1/3 cup low fat milk
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 12 ounces ground beef, lean
- 16-ounce can pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
Directions
- Soak crackers and onion in milk until the milk is absorbed.
- Add egg, salt and pepper to milk mixture and beat well with a fork. Add beef and gently stir to combine.
- Form mixture into 15 balls.
- Heat a heavy pan over medium-high heat and brown meatballs on all sides, about 10 minutes.
- Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Pour liquid over meatballs. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add pineapple chunks and green bell pepper.
- In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, pepper, Worcestershire, and water. Add to meatballs and cook until thickened, about 3 minutes.
